We do provide programming & upgrade services for major brands for 2-way radio communication. This includes 80-channel UHF CB upgrade, configuration of private channels as per customer requirement. For private frequency configuration, ACMA license copy is a pre-requisite.
80 Channel Upgrade
Not all the brands/models of 40 channels UHF CB radio are upgradable to 80 channels. Below is the 80 channel upgrade detail.
UNIDEN
None of the models are upgradable unless it has “NB” as suffix. In this case, either radio is already 80 channel active or 80 channel ready and need activation. For example UH076 SX-NB is 80 channel hand held UHF CB radio.

If your GME 40 channel UHF radio is listed as User Upgradable, you can upgrade it yourself as follows:
Connect your radio to a 12 Volt power source and switch it on. Use the following channel selection sequence to upgrade your radio. If at any point you make a mistake, simply switch it OFF then ON again and repeat the sequence from step 1.
1. Select Channel 7.
2. Switch the radio OFF then ON again.
3. Select Channel 23.
4. Switch the radio OFF then ON again.
5. Select Channel 39.
6. Switch the radio OFF then ON again.
7. Select Channel 15.
8. Switch the radio OFF then ON again.
9. Select Channel 31.
10. Switch the radio OFF then ON again.
If the upgrade was successful, channel 80 will be displayed.
If your GME 40 channel UHF radio is listed as Dealer Upgradable, Time Plus is one of the GME authorized dealer to provide the upgrade service.
